Mercado de Las Flores: A Free Family Festival

From the Crocker: Join us for a vibrant free family festival honoring the legacy of the Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF) and the creative spirit of Chicano culture. Grounded in the RCAF's history of community activism and accessible artmaking, this festival welcomes visitors into an environment where art is a shared, participatory act.
Enjoy live music and poetry performances, join docent-led gallery talks exploring Rebels with La Causa: Royal Chicano Air Force Art and Activism, 1970–1990, and connect with local cultural organizations tabling throughout the Museum. From the youngest artists to longtime admiradores, everyone is invited to experience the creativity, resilience, and community spirit that define the RCAF movement.
California State Fair Fine Art Competition
Come see my painting at the California State Fair in the Fine Art Pavilion! This is my first time participating in almost 20 years, and I’m very proud it was this particular piece that was selected. Go get you a corn dog, see a concert, pet a goat, get hypnotized, win a thing, celebrate a kid or a County, drink something local, do not get sick on something whirly, scream, laugh, play, and get inspired by what your fellow Californians create. Sac Open Studios 2026
It’s that time again! I’m throwing open the doors to my art sanctuary, now several square feet larger (I’m moving upstairs), and I hope to see YOU seeing what I’ve been up to.
WKND 1: September 12th & 13th, 2026
Sac Open Studios is presented FREE to the public by Verge Center for the Arts. Verge’s largest public program, Sac Open Studios spotlights the diverse range of artists who fill our region with art and culture. The central piece of Sac Open Studios is a self-guided artist studio tour which spans all of Sacramento County, West Sacramento, Davis and Woodland and takes place annually during the middle two weekends of September. The tour attracts over 200 participating artists and around 30,000 attendees annually.

San Francisco Art Fair returns to Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion this April 16–19, 2026, bringing together a dynamic cross-section of modern and contemporary art from the Bay Area and beyond. With an emphasis on thoughtful presentation and curatorial rigor, the fair’s 14th edition will reflect the experimental and inclusive character of the Bay Area while continuing its role as a year-round platform for the many voices of its region.
Produced by AMP with Fair Director Kelly Freeman working in partnership with Artistic Director Nato Thompson, San Francisco Art Fair will present 85 leading galleries from around the world alongside a dynamic series of public programming this April 2026 at Fort Mason Festival Pavilion.
